After the creation works of God for six days He rested on the seventh. And therefore making it a command to us all to always keep the sabbath and make it holy.. The old testament can be said to be the time of law, why the new, the time of grace.. During the old testament only the Priest were allowed to see or go into the sanctuary, but in the time of grace we freely walk into His tabernacle.. In the time of law; sacrifices and prayers were made for individuals by the Priest, but in the time of grace we freely bring our tithes, offerings and vows directly to Him. When Christ died many things frm the time of law were taken away so as to make us come into His presence freely without hinderance.. So it is with our days of services.. Anyone may decide to worship God in the privacy of his/her room or hold bible studies and other programme in the privacy of his/her room, but the Bible says "Do not forsake the gathering of Brethrens".. Apart from the grace we recieve most people believe sunday is a significant day in the history of Man. The Lord's supper took place on sunday, Jesus rose on sunday, He ascended on sunday, pentecost came on sunday, and most people believe there is no hinderance of praying aggressively on sunday unlike the sabbaths keepers.. We are in the time of grace and i believe it is an opportunity for us to worship God any of the days in the week even from Monday till Sunday, as long as we worship Him in truth and Spirit..
