"For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is BY FAITH from FIRST to LAST, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Rom. 1:17) and who are righteous that should live by faith? those who believed in JESUS! if you believed in Jesus, then you are righteous...again not because of our own doing...it's all because of JESUS!

We are never freed from evil, we are surrounded by it. Once we accept Jesus, satan tries even harder to put us in the presence of evil and make us succumb to it. We can only resist with God's help.
Amen! This is so true! The more we try to be Christ-like, the more the enemy tempts us, This is exactly the reason why Jesus said that the road to salvation is narrow, because imitating Christ is full of obstacles. Without Him, we can never succeed.

Oh yes, Jesus doesn't hate anyone, he loves everyone and is greatly saddened by people like the pharasees and would love nothing more than us showing the error of their ways. Not by nagging but by actions (actions speak louder than words).

Satan is still the prince of this world until the second coming. We MUST be sin conscious, or we will not recognise when we are about to sin. Think of people you know, I bet there is at least one, if not more, who was/is a great Christian, but has given into temptation. I know quite a few pastors, very good pastors, who ended up commiting adultary with a secretary, parishoner and some other person. It does happen and we have to recognise that it happens. If we are not aware it will happen to us. Not just the adultary, but many other things as well.
Nice, Patricia. We're at war, we are the soldiers of Christ. Satan is already defeated but he will not surrender until the very end, just like Nazi Germany. The Wicked can't harm us because of Christ's protection, but "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ep. 6:12). I can tell you that this war rages in my country.
As you said, Patricia :
WE MUST NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE ENEMY.
I am responding to your question assuming that you are asking if its safe to obey the ten commandment. Yes, its safe because the author of our faith commands His children to do so "If you love me you will keep my commandent" John 14:15 Also it is written "We know that we have come to know Him if we obey his commands" John2:3
However its to be understood that no one is saved by keeping His commands (law) because its written "for its by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, its the gift of God- not by works..."Ephesians 2:8;we become children of Godd thru faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:26) One obeys His commands because he/she is SAVED; "We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commands"1John 2:3."....count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus." Romans 6:11.Let me give analogy to express more what I wrote heretofore. The kingdom of God is like a house and in order to be allowed in this house u have to knock on the door and the owner, God, gonna give you a key,FAITH. Upon openning and getting inside the owner of the house, God, will show u around, where is kitchen, sitting room, dinning room etc and what u can do arround and what u can not do simply put the rules of the house in order to make you confortable. So the commandmends makes u live comfortably in the house of God. !! The deeds inside the house are not the one which made you to be there its the willingness and key (faith) given by God which made you to be there!!
Hallelijah!God bless u for a good question. Your brother in Christ
